Sometimes the best move that you can make with regards to blowing up a sports team is the move that you don’t make. Danny Ainge and the Boston Celtics showed incredible perseverance and patience by not pulling the trigger on any moves at the trade deadline this year. Many expected them to blow up the team of aging stars, starting over with a fresh and clean slate. This theory might have even had them missing out on the playoffs this year, pulling a lottery pick from the draft and starting anew next year, perhaps building around Rajon Rondo.

Interestingly enough though, a lot of trade rumors centralized around Rondo. Many call the guard a “problem child” based on his inability to work with coach Doc Rivers and his immaturity with regards to certain decisions. However, his talent and potential cannot be denied, and he’s showing everybody why it was a smart idea for Boston to hang onto him. Rondo is turning into the biggest star the Celtics have, despite the presence and resumes of Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Piece. With the Celtics heating up, they are going to be dangerous come playoff time with their years of experience.

It seems lately the Kentucky Wildcats basketball program is getting a reputation for developing talent quickly and sending them to the NBA. The 2012 edition of the Kentucky Wildcats won the NCAA Championship and will be sending Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Marquis Teague, and sophomores Terrence Jones and Doron Lamb to the NBA. All should go in the first round of the NBA draft. It seems Kentucky Basketball program has made it a habit of doing this, as last season they sent a number of players to the NBA as well.I was looking for more information and found it here. How can Kentucky continue to bring top talent to the state?

Kentucky has always been a drawing card for elite players and in 2012, they had some of the best talent in the country. Anthony Davis is a player who grew as a freshmen and showed the way for the Wildcats. Many people think you cannot win with freshmen, but the Wildcats have dispelled that myth. Terrence Jones stayed for his sophomore year and provided leadership to the group of young freshmen. Teague and Kidd-Gilchrist did what was asked of them, and did not try to press the issue as players. These underclassmen showed that if you played as a team no matter what your age you could become NCAA College Basketball Champions.
